RAMS Başakşehir’s head coach Çağdaş Atan stated after their defeat against Konyaspor, “Our night has mixed with our day, but I think we need to make some decisions regarding the players at certain points.”

In the press conference held after the match, Başakşehir’s head coach Çağdaş Atan said, “Konyaspor played its first match with its new coach. We were very curious about the kind of pressure they would apply against us, how they would wait. We encountered a Konyaspor that surprised us by having all 11 players behind the ball, defending very deep, and trying to break out only with long balls. Indeed, one of those long balls went behind our defense, and we conceded a goal from there. I think we didn’t produce much in the first half, but ending the first half with a draw was a chance for us, given our desire to play. In the second half, we wanted to start better and find the plays and goals that would lead us to victory. We started the first 5 minutes of the match a bit sluggishly, but despite that, a cross coming from 40-50 meters and a defensive mistake, which we have been repeating frequently lately, led to another easy goal conceded. Last year, we were the third team that conceded the fewest goals in the league with the same team. Unfortunately, this same team cannot respond in the same way now. Despite our hard work, especially in defense, and our video-supported training, the team cannot give that reaction. After 2-1, we actually failed to score from close range with Serdar, Deniz, and Piatek; we missed our chances to equalize at 2-2. After the third goal, the team broke a bit. Still, we found the 3-2 goal. Although it was late, we tried to push a little more, but it did not yield results. I think everyone, especially my team, needs to take responsibility and not hide behind excuses. We are putting in a lot of effort and working hard.
