Yıldırım Mayor Oktay Yılmaz: We think big for Yıldırım and we are transforming greatly with earthquake-resistant, modern buildings and living spaces that we have brought to the district.
– Yıldırım Mayor Oktay Yılmaz visited the Inal family, who settled in their new homes as part of the Çınarönü Urban Transformation Project, which they completed last month with a key delivery.
After the landslide experienced in Mollaarap Neighborhood, the region was declared a risky area, and residents, including the Inal family, were evacuated from their homes and moved to their new houses in Çınarönü. Yıldırım Mayor Oktay Yılmaz visited the home of Mükerrem Inal, who settled in the houses built as part of the Çınarönü Reserve Area Urban Transformation Project, consisting of 262 houses.
Stating that they have built solid and safe houses and relocated citizens to their new homes within a period of about 2 years as they promised, Yıldırım Mayor Oktay Yılmaz said, “We have settled our fellow citizens, whom we evacuated from their homes, in the houses we completed in Çınarönü Neighborhood. Our only profit is a prayer from the heart. The sparkle in the eyes of our citizens motivates us. We think big for Yıldırım and we are transforming greatly with earthquake-resistant, modern buildings and living spaces that we have brought to the district.”
Emphasizing that urban transformation is a necessity rather than a choice for Yıldırım, Yıldırım Mayor Oktay Yılmaz stated, “The only way to eliminate the problems brought about by the unplanned growth and distorted construction ongoing in Yıldırım is urban transformation. We must create safe housing, high living standards, developed transportation networks, and living spaces supported by common areas in our regions that have been unsafe, with inadequate social areas and transportation axes for years. Above all, we are obliged to do this considering the seismicity of our country and our city. We currently have urban transformation projects ongoing at 26 different points in our district. Our goal is to transform 30,000 residences within our 5-year term with new initiatives we will start and to bring our citizens under this safe umbrella.” The homeowner Mükerrem Inal expressed her happiness for moving into her new home and thanked Mayor Oktay Yılmaz and his team for their support.
As a result of the works carried out on 20 acres of land within the scope of the Çınarönü Reserve Area Urban Transformation Project, there are 262 houses, 8 commercial units, as well as a parking area of 8,650 square meters, a green area of 2,470 square meters, and a technopark area of 4,380 square meters.
