Winter and autumn are experienced together on Zigana Mountain in Gümüşhane.

Zigana Mountain, located between Gümüşhane and Trabzon, which has been at the crossroads of trade routes since ancient times and means ‘Pass,’ experiences both autumn and winter together.

Due to its location on the historic Silk Road, Zigana village, located at the foot of Zigana Mountain within the borders of Torul district in Gümüşhane, is known as one of the villages in Turkey where autumn is experienced most beautifully.

Before the winter season, the leaves of the dozens of types of trees in the region turn red, yellow, green, brown, and orange, while the peaks of the mountains are covered in white, creating breathtaking views along the historic Trabzon-Gümüşhane highway that passes through the village.
