Muşspor, which is advancing confidently in the Ziraat Turkey Cup with the results it has achieved, is continuing its preparations for the match against Bornova FK to be played this weekend.
After the departure of Yavuz İncedal in the 7th week, Muşspor, which came under the management of Head Coach Fatih Çardak, has played 1 cup and 1 league match, obtaining 1 victory and 1 defeat from these matches.
Reminding that they reached an agreement before the Hopa Spor match, Coach Çardak said, “We completed all our preparations a day in advance. Our team really showed a very nice reaction in this match. They effectively reflected our tactical understanding on the field in the first half. Unfortunately, after conceding a goal from a set piece in the second half, our reaction was disrupted, and we experienced difficulties in terms of productivity, which is why we left the match defeated. We had the opportunity to address these shortcomings during the week and emphasized some points to ensure the continuity of our game system in the cup match preparations. Especially in the first 65 minutes, we adhered completely to our desired game plan and played at a near-perfect level. Our team performed well above my expectations. Particularly towards the end of the first half, as the opponent pressed in the front, we created 3-4 clear opportunities in transition plays. At this point, the important thing is to evaluate these opportunities and turn the score in our favor,” he said.
“We want to be promoted to the 2nd League”
Expressing that the team has great significance for the city in terms of morale and motivation, Çardak stated, “One of our goals is to restore morale to our city and create a team that our fans enjoy watching and feel happy about. With this goal in mind, we are trying to reflect a game philosophy that the people of Muş enjoy watching, and from which our players derive happiness from every move. The goals of Muşspor are clear; we want to carry the success we achieved last year even further this year and promote to the 2nd League. We are working with all our strength to achieve this goal. The reactions and participation of our players are really very high. After the cup match, we continued our preparations by resting our players who were fatigued. We analyzed our opponent and shared their strengths and weaknesses with our players and created a nice environment. Hopefully, we will exceed the performance we showed in the İnegöl match and elevate our game quality further. We aim to leave the field with a nice victory this weekend and dedicate this joy to the people of Muş and our community,” he expressed.
“Our goal this year is to be champions”
Expressing that Muşspor’s participation in the championship race has raised their goals even higher this year, Sports Director Selami Yatçı stated, “Our goal this year is to be champions. We also want to go as far as we can in the Ziraat Turkey Cup. We have advanced from the 3rd round to the 4th round. If we can reach the group stage, it would be a great success for us. We also want to be champions in the league we are in. We have a very high-quality squad. We have characterful players. We are gradually reflecting these on the field. We will always be among our goals. A few of our matches went poorly and ended in draws. Now we want to take 3 points in the upcoming Bornova match and make a breakthrough.”
