The Rector of Erciyes University (ERÜ), Prof. Dr. Fatih Altun, met with students from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Architecture, and Pharmacy as part of the ‘Rector-Student Meeting’ framework to listen to their requests and needs.
As part of the program, Rector Prof. Dr. Fatih Altun visits three faculties each day. His first visit today was to the Faculty of Fine Arts, accompanied by Secretary General Prof. Dr. İbrahim Narin. Meeting with students in the Faculty Conference Hall, Rector Prof. Dr. Fatih Altun stated that they have a management approach of ‘we’ rather than ‘I’. Emphasizing the importance of student activities, Rector Prof. Dr. Altun expressed that they want students to be active in club activities and social events. The second visit of Rector Prof. Dr. Altun was to the Faculty of Architecture. Addressing the students during his visit, Rector Prof. Dr. Altun said, “Time passes very quickly. You will not be able to get back this period of time. Remember this and make the best use of your time. Always strive to work hard to improve yourself.” Today, Rector Prof. Dr. Altun’s final visit was to the Faculty of Pharmacy. In his speech here, he highlighted the importance of lifelong learning, stating, “It is of great strategic importance to update your knowledge and not to be closed off from the outside world. As long as you actively pursue these, success in your professional life will follow.” During his visits, Rector Prof. Dr. Altun engaged in long conversations with students, answering their questions one by one.
During the ‘Rector-Student Meeting’, Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts Prof. Dr. Oya Levendoğlu and Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy Prof. Dr. M. Orhan Püsküllü also gave speeches, providing information about the educational activities conducted in their faculties.
