Swedish bride in Germencik

Ali Baş (22), living in Aydın’s Germencik district, united his life with Swedish Cassandra İssabel Elise Bard (29).

22-year-old Ali Baş, who lives in Kızılcapınar neighborhood of Germencik district, said ‘Yes’ to happiness with Swedish Cassandra İssabel Elise Bard (29), whom he met a year ago. The couple, who continued their friendship after meeting in Kuşadası in 2023 while Ali was working as a tourism professional, started to have video calls from a distance for about a year. During this time, their friendship developed, and they decided to unite their lives. After meeting each other’s families, the young couple took steps towards marriage. The young couple, who entered the marriage with a ceremony held at Germencik Municipality, were not left alone by their families. Germencik Mayor Burak Zencirci, who attended the wedding ceremony, wished happiness to the young couple and presented them with their marriage certificate. Congratulating the couple, Mayor Zencirci said, ‘We attended the wedding ceremony of our brother Ali Baş from Kızılcapınar and Cassandra İssabel Elise Bard from Sweden, and presented them with their marriage certificate. I congratulate the young couple and wish them happiness for a lifetime.’

‘I love Turkey very much’

Ali expressed that Cassandra loves Turkey very much, saying, ‘We met on July 23, 2023, in Kuşadası. Cassandra had also come to Kuşadası for vacation. I was working in tourism. That’s how we met. After the vacation, she returned to Sweden. We had video calls for about a year. Then she came here and met my family. I met her family. Cassandra got along very well with my family. The process continued like this. We quickly fell in love and decided to get married. Let’s see what the process shows for now, but Cassandra loves this place very much. We will see depending on the situation whether we will live here or in Sweden.’
