Herbalists recommend the increased consumption of mulberry, grape, and carob molasses, along with herbal teas, particularly during such times when immunity is believed to be strengthened. They also emphasized the benefits of winter tea made from a blend of herbs such as ginger, turmeric, galangal, cinnamon, cloves, echinacea, and hibiscus, stating that natural drinks help enhance the body’s defenses.

“People have unknowingly turned to artificial products”

Herbalist Koray Özkılıç stated, “As you know, we are in a seasonal transition period. Therefore, the clothes people wear in the morning must naturally differ from what they wear at noon. For instance, someone who wears a coat in the morning must take it off in the afternoon heat. There is currently a 100% temperature difference due to the seasonal transition. This inevitably creates difficulty for the body to adapt to the environment. After addressing this, we should use things that can enhance the body’s defense system. Winter teas contain ginger, turmeric, galangal, cinnamon, cloves, echinacea, hibiscus, and similar herbs. Additionally, there is licorice, which provides sweetness. Licorice is also very effective in alleviating dry cough. At the same time, it supports the body’s defenses. These types of teas relax the body and prevent us from deviating from our normal daily lives, even if we catch the flu or a cold, stopping us from falling into bed. For this reason, in this environment and at this time, I especially recommend that our people increase their consumption of such teas.
