Governor Çiçek: “As long as the national consciousness of Turkish youth continues, Turkey will never be destroyed or divided.”

The 45th ERVA Sports School, held under the auspices of the Kayseri Governorship, has been opened in the Mimarsinan Organized Industrial Zone. Kayseri Governor Gökmen Çiçek stated, “As long as the national consciousness of Turkish youth continues, Turkey can never be destroyed or divided.”

The opening ceremony, held at Erciyes Anatolian Imam Hatip High School, was attended by Kayseri Governor Gökmen Çiçek, Melikgazi Mayor Mustafa Palancıoğlu, Provincial Police Chief Atanur Aydın, Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Major General Hakan Dedebağı, Provincial National Education Director Coşkun Esen, Kayseri Chamber of Commerce President Mehmet Büyüksimitci, Mimarsinan OSB Board Chairman Lütfi Çarşıbaşı, teachers, students, and citizens. After a moment of silence and the reading of the National Anthem, Kayseri Provincial Youth and Sports Director Ali İhsan Kabakcı gave the opening speech, stating, “With the support of our Mimarsinan Organized Industrial Zone President and Melikgazi Mayor Mustafa Palancıoğlu, we have achieved a magnificent facility after approximately two months of work, despite not having any of our facilities or sports halls in this region. As Provincial Youth and Sports Directorates, although we work in the field, we hope that with the number of athletes exceeding 11,000, our schools provide great service with nearly 150 coaches and over 150 educational staff, especially combating obesity and all kinds of addiction, which are diseases of the age, with young people who have completed their physical and mental development on the Olympic path in many branches.”

“We are happy to be involved in the ERVA Project as industrialists”
Mimarsinan OSB President Lütfi Çarşıbaşı expressed happiness about being part of the ERVA Sports Schools Project, saying, “Today we will all share the joy of opening the 44th ERVA Sports Club at Erciyes Anatolian Imam-Hatip High School, which is a project school. We express our gratitude to you and your valuable team for allowing us to participate in this project initiated and continued under the auspices of our esteemed governor. The sports schools opened under the leadership of our governorship will not only help our children and youth’s physical health but also aid them in gaining discipline, teamwork, leadership, and self-confidence. In addition to the sports activities to be carried out by our sports club that we will open today, it will also keep our children and youth away from bad habits and contribute to their learning of national and spiritual values, history, and culture.”

Melikgazi Mayor Mustafa Palancıoğlu emphasized the importance of the ERVA Sports School in uniting and bringing many young people into sports, stating, “Erciyes Anatolian Imam-Hatip High School is one of the most successful schools in Kayseri. May it become the most successful one. I congratulate our youth. The building of the ERVA Sports School that we will open today was constructed in a timely manner by our municipality, and a total of 25 schools like this one have been built and delivered. Thanks to our Mimarsinan OSB, they provided the necessary support for the revitalization of this place, and it will be a beautiful sports school. It is a bit difficult for young people to do sports alone. Therefore, it is important for the ERVA Sports School to unite and bring many of our youth into sports.”

Kayseri Governor Gökmen Çiçek emphasized that as long as the national consciousness of Turkish youth persists, Turkey will never be destroyed, continuing his remarks: “ERVA is growing like an avalanche. Just two days ago, we celebrated our Republic Day on October 29 with great enthusiasm. We commemorated the 101st anniversary of our Republic with great enthusiasm in Kayseri. I had mentioned there; ‘The development of our youth is our Kızılelma.’ When I say ‘Kızılelma,’ the great goals of the great Turkish nation come to mind for each of you. As long as our youth’s commitment to their country, nation, and families continues with national consciousness and morality, the great goals of the Turkish nation will also continue, and they will definitely reach these goals. However, the youth of the Turkish nation are being threatened. Terrorist organizations have declared our youth as enemies. Poison dealers and those who want to make our youth question their love for the nation, homeland, and family target our youth. External or internal forces know that as long as the national consciousness of the Turkish nation’s youth continues, this nation can never be destroyed or divided.”
After the speeches, a prayer was made, and the ribbon was cut for the opening of the Mimarsinan OSB ERVA Sports Club.
