Five separate memorandums of understanding were signed between Turkey and Senegal in the fields of education, agriculture, energy, urban planning, and strategic cooperation. The signing ceremony, which took place in the presence of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Senegalese President Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye, aimed to strengthen the relations of the two countries in various sectors.
Five agreements covering significant collaborations between Turkey and Senegal were signed in the presence of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Senegalese President Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye. Following the signing ceremony held at the Presidential Complex, Erdoğan and Faye held a joint press conference.
The “Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in Urban Planning Between the Government of the Republic of Turkey and the Government of the Republic of Senegal” was signed by Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and Senegalese Minister of Urban Planning, Local Governments, and Regional Planning Balla Moussa Fofana.
The “Memorandum of Understanding on Energy and Hydrocarbons Between the Government of the Republic of Turkey and the Government of the Republic of Senegal” was signed by Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar and Minister of African Integration and Foreign Affairs Yassine Fall.
Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Ibrahim Yumaklı and Senegalese Minister of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty, and Livestock Mabouba Diagne signed the “Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in Agricultural Mechanization Between the Government of the Republic of Turkey and the Government of the Republic of Senegal.”
The “Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in Higher Education Between the Council of Higher Education of the Republic of Turkey and the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research, and Innovation of the Republic of Senegal” was also signed by Council of Higher Education President Erol Özvar and Minister of African Integration and Foreign Affairs Yassine Fall.
In this context, the “Protocol on the Establishment of a High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council Between the Republic of Turkey and the Republic of Senegal” was signed by President Erdoğan and Senegalese President Faye.
