Kocaelispor President Recep Durul stated at the press conference held yesterday that the analogy he used of ‘insects’ was deliberately distorted by some circles, saying, “It was misunderstood. I did not mean the former managers.”

In the press conference he held yesterday, Kocaelispor President Recep Durul, whose team is in Trendyol 1st League, made statements on many issues and issued a written statement regarding the analogy of ‘insects,’ which has become a topic of public debate. President Durul emphasized that he did not use the word ‘insects’ specifically for the two former managers who left the administration, stating that the section of his speech taken out of context by malicious parties was used to harm the club, and that everyone who wants to harm the club should be kept outside the club.

“I meant all elements that want to harm the club”
Kocaelispor Club President Recep Durul included the following statements in his written statement: “Unfortunately, a phrase I used during the press conference held yesterday has been presented by malicious circles as if I was addressing certain individuals, completely taken out of the context of my speech. I want to emphasize that my intention was to highlight that all elements trying to harm the greatness of the Kocaelispor community should be kept outside the club. However, at this point, the allegations that I used a phrase directed against friends with whom we previously worked, completely disconnected from the context of my sentences, have deeply saddened me. I would like to reiterate that I did not mean the managerial friends who have served in our club with the phrase I used. On the contrary, I meant individuals who are trying to harm our club, whether inside or outside the club. I invite all Kocaelispor stakeholders to unite under the name of Kocaelispor in an environment where we aim for the championship this season and where everyone is trying to help in their own way. It should not be forgotten that we exist because of Kocaelispor, not Kocaelispor exists because of us.
