Approximately 500 students attend Yunus Emre Primary School, where the toy campaign attracted great interest from the students. Under the guidance of their teacher Harun Bolat, the students of the 3-D class collected usable toys and sent them to sister schools in different neighborhoods. The campaign aimed to instill a sense of cooperation and solidarity among the students.
“We strive to raise individuals who are beneficial to society through these activities”
Yunus Emre Primary School Deputy Principal Süleyman Çubukçu stated that they aim to raise students as beneficial individuals to society through the activities conducted at the school. “As a school, we constantly carry out such activities. Our goal in these events is to raise individuals who are worthy of our school’s name. With the project brought to us by our 3-D class teacher Harun Bolat, a new activity has been carried out. In this project, we aim to allow our students to share their toys with their fellow student friends or to help them, providing a response to their wishes to some extent. With this event named ‘My Toy on the Way to School,’ in which all our classes participated, they will contribute to sister schools. Projects like this are constantly carried out at our school in a manner befitting the name of Yunus Emre. Previously, we also conducted electronic waste and battery collection activities with our students at our school,” he said.
“With the collected toys, our students will connect with their siblings”
Additionally, Deputy Principal Çubukçu stated that the collected toys would help students connect with their peers. “The collected toys will be sent to our schools in the surrounding neighborhoods, facilitating their integration with the students here. Through these services done for the benefit of society, our students develop themselves and become beneficial individuals to society by experiencing the feeling of cooperation through such projects,” he said.
