In Erzurum, which has recently become a focal point due to its historical and cultural heritage as well as its natural beauties waiting to be discovered, off-road enthusiasts took a thrilling journey to Aygır Lake this time.

In Erzurum, which has become a center of interest in recent years with its historical and cultural structure, off-road enthusiasts headed to Aygır Lake. Lokman Toptaş, the president of the Erzurum Adventure Off Road Search and Rescue Sports Club, expressed that they experienced a different adventure along with Erzurum Governor Mustafa Çiftçi, Erzurum Deputy Governors, Yakutiye District Governor Tuncay Kaldırım, and Azize Muhammet Tugay, stating, “On this challenging road we organized as a cultural activity trip to Aygır Lake, which is located within the borders of the Aziziye district at an altitude of 2,900 meters, we passed through muddy roads and climbed snowy peaks. We traversed areas with high adventure and adrenaline and reached Aygır Lake. Together with our governor of Erzurum, we reviewed all the activities we can do in the area. We planned to put Aygır Lake under protection. This trip aims to reveal many natural beauties like Aygır Lake, which is one of the hidden beauties of Erzurum, and to incorporate them into tourism and cultural travel activities,” he said.

Erzurum Governor Mustafa Çiftçi stated that Erzurum’s rich geography and different climate structure host significant natural beauties, saying, “We had previously gone to Karagöl in the Narman district with the Erzurum Adventure Off Road Search and Rescue Nature Sports team. Our goal is to introduce and showcase the undiscovered places in Erzurum. This is a very beautiful place. We made a challenging journey covered in snow. I recommend everyone to see and visit this beautiful lake, which is 50-60 meters deep.”
