The play ‘You, the Republic’ was performed in Güzelbahçe.

As part of the celebrations for the 101st anniversary of the Republic, citizens in Güzelbahçe walked along the coast for approximately two kilometers with torches and Turkish flags in hand. Following the walk, the play titled ‘You are the Republic’ showcased emotional moments and received great applause from the audience.

The 101st anniversary celebrations of the Republic in Güzelbahçe featured colorful scenes. Throughout the day, various events took place in the district, and in the evening, a walk was organized accompanied by marches played by the band. The enthusiastic walk concluded in front of the Güzelbahçe Atatürk Cultural Center. After the walk, the residents of Güzelbahçe filled the hall to watch the play ‘You are the Republic.’ The play, which sometimes portrayed emotional moments, received great applause from the audience.

Expressing that they gathered to celebrate the 101st anniversary of the Republic with great enthusiasm and pride, Güzelbahçe Mayor Mustafa Günay stated, “The Republic, which was bequeathed to us by our Great Leader Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and his comrades, has been a symbol of our independence and freedom. The Republic is not just a form of government; it is the guarantee of equality, brotherhood, and modernity. This victory, won by the determination and belief of our nation 101 years ago, granted us the honor of being citizens of an independent country. We are working together today to advance our Republic, which laid the foundations of a strong, modern, and democratic country. As the Güzelbahçe Municipality, we are aware of our responsibility to keep the values of the Republic alive in every field and to pass them on to future generations. We will continue to work with all our strength to carry Güzelbahçe towards a bright future by embodying these values in education, art, sports, and all areas of life.”

Mayor Günay mentioned that they watched the play ‘You are the Republic’ with great appreciation, saying, “We witnessed how much sacrifice was made to achieve the Republic. On this occasion, we commemorate with mercy and gratitude our esteemed martyrs and veterans who sacrificed their lives for this homeland, especially the founder of our Republic, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, and his comrades.
