The ‘Kahveci Mountain Accommodation Forest Park’, constructed by Nevşehir Municipality, was inaugurated with a magnificent ceremony.

Following the appointment of Nevşehir Mayor Rasim Arı, the construction of the Kahveci Mountain Accommodation Forest Park was initiated by the Parks and Gardens Directorate, and the first two phases have been completed.

The park, which includes a cafe and restaurant, playgrounds for children, walking paths, bungalow houses, barbecue areas, a viewing terrace with a view of Kayaşehir, and an observation tower, attracted great interest from citizens during the opening ceremony.

The ceremony began with a moment of silence and the reading of the national anthem. Speaking at the event, Mayor Rasim Arı conveyed messages of unity and solidarity. Arı said, “Today, we celebrate the 101st anniversary of our Republic. On this occasion, I commemorate with mercy and gratitude our martyrs who sacrificed their lives and their most precious possessions for their love for this homeland, primarily Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and his comrades, to protect the borders of the Republic of Turkey. May their souls rest in peace, and their places be heaven. As long as we are united and as long as we establish our brotherhood in our locations, it does not matter who is an enemy or who has an eye on the lands of this country. As long as we hold our ranks tightly, as long as we see our shortcomings and deficiencies with tolerance, we will remove the eyes that would be cast on even a single pebble of this country together. What you see in Nevşehir is that picture. It is a sign that we are not separate from each other, that we are one, together, and brothers. We are together not for discrimination, but for unity, solidarity, brotherhood, and for the interests of Nevşehir and Turkey. We may have differences. We may have deficiencies. But as soon as we turn that into a united and together state within the framework of brotherhood, both our city and our country will grow even more. I thank all my mayors and friends for showing this sensitivity. You honored us, thank you for coming. You made our day happy. On the 101st anniversary of our Republic, you added happiness to our joy. If there is a problem in this city, it is our primary duty to solve it. For this, we are determined to be one, to be together, and not to let any discord among us, both the provincial leaders of our political parties and we. Because we prioritize the law of brotherhood and the law of Nevşehir before the interests of the parties. Let everyone know from here that we are just a phone call away and in a brotherhood relationship with all our political parties. Other things are just details and intricacies. I want everyone to know it this way.”

Nevşehir Governor Ali Fidan also expressed his happiness at being able to inaugurate such a beautiful project on such a meaningful day while congratulating all citizens on the Republic Day. He stated, “I want to express my pleasure to be together on such a meaningful day. Today, we celebrated the 101st anniversary of the Republic with rightful pride and excitement. I remember with mercy all the heroic founders of the Republic, including Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and his comrades, all our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the homeland and the nation, and all our veterans who have passed away, as well as our living veterans with gratitude and appreciation. We live in a beautiful homeland. We have a beautiful country. Just as this Republic was founded with a spirit a hundred and one years ago, with God’s permission, we love our country and homeland with the same spirit, the same passion, and the same enthusiasm. As state institutions, public institutions, local administrations, civil society, our political parties, and neighborhood representatives, in short, we, 85 million, are working together as one body to carry this sacred legacy we received from our ancestors to higher places, to stronger tomorrows. We are striving for this. Since the Republic was established 101 years ago, significant strides have been made in every field, from education to health, from agriculture to industry, from science and technology to art, sports, and culture. Thank God, today we are among the most developed countries in the world in many areas. Under the leadership of our President, with the moves made in the defense industry, we are one of the countries with the strongest defense industry and the strongest army in the world. We will not stop. God willing, we will carry this legacy to even higher levels and leave a stronger, more prosperous, and brighter Turkey to our youth, to future generations, and to our children. We work hand in hand for this. May God be our helper. Today, we are at the opening of a beautiful facility. This facility will hopefully serve beautiful Nevşehir, Nevşehir residents, ladies and gentlemen, our children, and families. Our children and families will come here and engage in social activities. I wish this beautiful facility to be beneficial and auspicious for our province and citizens. I thank everyone who contributed to the construction of this facility, especially our mayor, all municipal employees, benefactors, and everyone who contributed.”

The opening ribbon of the park was cut together by Governor Fidan, MP Özgün, and Mayor Arı, along with the Commander of the Nevşehir Provincial Gendarmerie Colonel Numan Öksüz, Nevşehir Provincial Police Chief Ali Loğoğlu, AK Party Provincial Chairman Muhammed Fevzi Aygün, CHP Provincial Chairman Bülent Yumuş, MHP Provincial Chairman Adnan Doğu, İYİ Party Provincial Chairman Ali İhsan Parlatan, district and town mayors, representatives of civil society organizations, and muhtars.

After the opening, participants visited the park together while the citizens were served sucuk ekmek (sausage sandwich) by Nevşehir Municipality. Additionally, after the park opening, saplings were planted by the Parks and Gardens Directorate of Nevşehir Municipality in the Vefa Forest created for each deceased person and newborns, as well as for students who started the first grade this year. Free saplings were also distributed to all citizens who attended the program.
