The land allocation contracts have been signed for the Simav Geothermal Resource-Based Greenhouse Agriculture Specialized Organized Industrial Zone (TDİOSB), which will be established on an area of 1,185 decares in the Simav district.

There are a total of 37 parcels within the region, consisting of 24 greenhouses and 13 industrial parcels. During the signing ceremony, contracts were signed for a total of 15 parcels, including 14 greenhouses and 1 industrial parcel.

In his speech at the ceremony, Kütahya Governor Musa Işın mentioned the establishment process of the region and future expectations, saying, “We have been waiting for this day for a long time. The work that started before we took office gained momentum in the last year of our term and reached a happy conclusion. Our province is known for its thermal resources, and the use of thermal water in various fields such as agriculture, energy, and health draws attention. Since we have arable lands in Simav, we decided to establish an Agriculture-Based Specialized Organized Industrial Zone here. We are very happy to realize the land allocations today.”

“The TDİOSB Project will expand to 1,800 decares”
Governor Musa Işın stated that the organized industrial zone, which will have a total area of 1,200 decares, will use 800 decares for agricultural activities. He noted that the remaining part is allocated for administrative buildings, roads, parking lots, and social facilities. He also mentioned that due to high demand, an application has been made to the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry to include an additional 600-decare area into the project, saying, “With this addition, we will have a total of 1,800 decares of TDİOSB land. We hope to receive our first products from this region by the end of 2025.”

The land allocation signing ceremony for the Simav Geothermal Resource-Based Greenhouse Agriculture Specialized Organized Industrial Zone was attended by Governor Musa Işın, Kütahya MPs Adil Biçer, İsmail Çağlar Bayırcı, Mehmet Demir, Simav District Governor Bünyamin Karaloğlu, Simav Mayor Kübra Tekel Aktulun, Provincial General Assembly President Muammer Özcura, businessman İsmet Güral, Simav Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Şeref Kazcıoğlu, along with department heads and representatives of investment firms.

After the completion of the region, it is aimed to further strengthen the agriculture-based industry with energy obtained from Kütahya’s geothermal resources.
