Deputy Minister Yazgı: “President Memduh has shown his usual characteristic.”

Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç, together with Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Gökhan Yazgı and Chairman of the National Defense Commission of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Hulusi Akar, visited the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan National Garden to inspect the ongoing projects of the Provincial Public Library, Mimar Sinan City Museum, and Culinary Arts Center. Expressing gratitude to Mayor Büyükkılıç for the projects, Deputy Minister Yazgı stated, “Mayor Memduh has once again showcased his distinctive feature, presenting the best to the people of Kayseri, including planning and implementation.”

The Metropolitan Municipality is preparing to provide Kayseri, a city of libraries, with a new library through the Provincial Public Library project in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. The construction of the Mimar Sinan City Museum and Culinary Arts Center, which are among Turkey’s largest national gardens, is also nearing completion within the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan National Garden. Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç, Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Gökhan Yazgı, Chairman of the National Defense Commission of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, AK Party Kayseri Deputy Hulusi Akar, and Kayseri Governor Gökmen Çiçek visited the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan National Garden to inspect the ongoing projects on-site.

Initially, they examined the Provincial Public Library, which has a closed area of 6,100 square meters, built in cooperation with the Metropolitan Municipality and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. Mayor Büyükkılıç, Yazgı, Akar, and Çiçek received detailed information about the project from the officials. Later, Mayor Büyükkılıç toured the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan National Garden, which is one of Turkey’s largest national gardens covering an area of 1,260,000 square meters, with Deputy Minister Gökhan Yazgı. Following the national garden tour, Büyükkılıç, Yazgı, and Çiçek examined the Mimar Sinan City Museum and Culinary Arts Center, which will serve with a closed area of 6,500 square meters consisting of 8 blocks, receiving updates from officials about the current status of the projects.

After the inspections, Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Gökhan Yazgı made statements in front of the Mimar Sinan City Museum, thanking Mayor Büyükkılıç for his projects, saying, “Such a beautiful national garden covering 1,260,000 square meters is a rare and specially designed area where culture, art, and entertainment come together. Mayor Memduh has truly demonstrated his characteristic once again, presenting the best to the people of Kayseri in planning and implementation. I would like to express my gratitude to you, Mr. Mayor.” Deputy Minister Yazgı noted that they discussed what can be done for Kayseri, stating, “We visited both the construction of our city museum and our library. We discussed with our municipality and the ministry what we can do to quickly put these two beautiful structures into service so that the people of Kayseri can spend quality time in this beautiful building. We also discussed what we can do for Kayseri, and which projects can take its culture and tourism to better points. I thank my esteemed brother Mayor Memduh for his hospitality.” Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç also thanked Deputy Minister Yazgı for his support, saying, “We welcome Mr. Minister. We are also grateful for his sincere assistance to us and our city. We expect you to convey our regards and respects to the esteemed minister.”

During the visit and inspections at the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan National Garden, Mayor Büyükkılıç was accompanied by Deputy Minister Yazgı, Akar, along with Governor Çiçek, AK Party Kayseri Deputy Murat Cahid Cıngı, Secretary General of the Metropolitan Municipality Hüseyin Beyhan, Deputy Secretary General Ufuk Sekmen, Provincial Director of Culture and Tourism Şükrü Dursun, and the heads of departments of the Metropolitan Municipality.
