On the occasion of the Republic Day on October 29, Bursa Commodity Exchange (Bursa TB) Board Chairman Özer Matlı issued a message stating, “The torch of the Republic that Turkey ignited 101 years ago is our most valuable guide that illuminates our path.”
Bursa TB Chairman Özer Matlı published a celebration message for the 101st anniversary of the proclamation of the Republic. He stated that the Republic is the result of a great victory achieved after the national struggle entered by a nation to gain independence despite impossibilities, fueled by love for the homeland, freedom, and independence. In his message, Chairman Özer Matlı noted:
“The proclamation of the Republic, which Ulu Önder Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk said ‘the most suitable administration for the nature and character of the Turkish nation is the administration of the Republic,’ has been the most important guarantee of our nation’s goal to reach the level of contemporary civilizations.
The ideals of independence, modernity, and development laid down on October 29, 1923 continue to be the greatest driving force that enables Turkey to strengthen in every field. Today, the torch of the Republic ignited by Turkey 101 years ago, which progresses not only economically but also socially and culturally, is our most valuable guide that illuminates our path.
As Bursa Commodity Exchange, while we take pride in celebrating our 100th anniversary, we continue with great faith and determination towards the goal set by the founder of our Republic, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, to reach the level of contemporary civilization. While working for the future of Turkey, we adopt Atatürk’s saying, “Societies that wish to live comfortably without working, getting tired, and producing are doomed to lose their dignity first, then their freedom, and later their independence and future” as a guide.
On this occasion, I celebrate the 101st anniversary of our Republic; I commemorate with mercy and gratitude all our heroes who dedicated their lives to these lands, especially Ulu Önder Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and his comrades. Happy October 29 Republic Day.
