DENIZLI (IHA) – Denizli Governor Ömer Faruk Coşkun stated, “It is our common duty to protect our Republic forever, to work for the future of our country and our nation, to struggle, to make sacrifices when necessary.”
Governor Ömer Faruk Coşkun published a congratulatory message on the occasion of the 29th October Republic Day. In his message, Governor Coşkun said; “Today, we are celebrating the 101st anniversary of the establishment of our Republic with great enthusiasm and pride as a nation. The Republic, which was declared by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk on October 29, 1923, stating that ‘the administration most suitable for the character and customs of the Turkish nation is the administration of the Republic,’ is the greatest legacy left to the Turkish nation. The determination and unwavering will of the Turkish nation to preserve the Republic forever will guide us in overcoming all difficulties. As individuals sharing the common past and future of this country, it is our debt to our ancestors who left us the Republic and our heavenly homeland, to walk towards the future in unity and solidarity and to take our place at the forefront in the race of civilization. We are more determined and resolute than ever to work for the survival of our state, the welfare of our people, to compete with the developed countries of the world in all fields, to lead the defense of universal human values; to stand by the oppressed and against the oppressors and traitors. We will always maintain our unity, as we did in the past, today, and in the future. We will continue to uphold our unity and integrity, our democracy, our peace, our brotherhood, and to keep the fundamental values of our Republic above any discussion.”
Addressing the youth in his message, Governor Coşkun used the following expressions:
“It is our common duty to protect the Republic, which Atatürk called ‘My Greatest Work,’ forever, to work for the future of our country and nation, to struggle, and to make sacrifices when necessary. It should not be forgotten that it is our debt of gratitude to our martyrs and veterans, who bestowed this heavenly homeland to us, to work hand in hand and in unity of heart to make our country one of the leading countries in the world. With these feelings and thoughts, I remember with mercy and gratitude our honored martyrs, who put their lives on the line for the homeland, flag, and independence, especially the founder of our Republic, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, and his comrades-in-arms; I congratulate all our citizens on the occasion of 29th October Republic Day; I extend my love and respect to all our citizens, especially my fellow citizens of Denizli.”
