Aydın Governor Yakup Canbolat’s message for October 29

Aydın Governor Yakup Canbolat released a message on the occasion of the 101st anniversary of the Republic’s founding on October 29.

In his message, Aydın Governor Yakup Canbolat stated, “We are all experiencing the excitement and pride of celebrating the 101st anniversary of our Republic, which was proclaimed as a result of the epic struggle written by our glorious nation, filled with historical victories, under the leadership of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk to rescue its independence and future. The Republic, based on democratic governance, high moral values, and qualities, while also ensuring the development and rise of the people, is the most meaningful work of our nation’s struggle for existence in this geography, and the strongest expression of its determination to defend its independence. Above all, the Republic is the tree of democracy that grows in the shade of peace, tranquility, and brotherhood. The Republic, which distributes the state’s resources to all its citizens within the principle of the social state of law, granting them the right to representation as equal individuals, is the true source of the integration of the state and the nation. The Republic of Turkey, established by our ancestors at great costs, has made significant strides since its foundation through the determination and hard work of our nation, and today it has reached a respectable position among the rising powerful countries of the world with its growing economy, advancements in health, education, science, culture, and strong democracy.”

Continuing his message by saying, “In the Century of Turkey, our stable struggle against the whole world will continue to move forward with confident steps towards our noble goals,” Canbolat emphasized, “As the children of this blessed homeland, who are one heart in joy and sorrow, it is our fundamental duty to uphold the values of the Republic, to overcome the obstacles in front of us with unity and solidarity, to build our future, and to work tirelessly to ensure that our country always takes its place at the forefront in the race of civilizations. It is also a historical responsibility to fight against the internal and external malicious forces that strive to invade our blessed homeland and erase our noble nation from the stage of history, drawing inspiration from the past. Just like in Malazgirt, before the walls of Istanbul in 1453, in Çanakkale, during the War of Independence, and during the treacherous coup attempt on July 15, we must stand together hand in hand to show our enemies their place. With these feelings and thoughts, I commemorate, with mercy, gratitude, and respect, all the heroes of our independence struggle, especially Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, and all our martyrs and veterans who have become immortal in the hearts of our nation with their unique sacrifices. I sincerely congratulate my fellow citizens of Aydın on the Republic Day with great hope, faith, and determination to walk towards the future and extend my love and respect.
