Yeşilyurt Mayor Prof. Dr. İlhan Geçit stated, “We are working to build a resilient, modern, and beautiful Yeşilyurt by acting in unity and solidarity with our tradespeople and fellow citizens. Our greatest strength is the sincere and heartfelt bonds we have established with our citizens.”
Yeşilyurt Mayor Prof. Dr. İlhan Geçit frequently consults with tradespeople regarding ongoing and planned services in Yeşilyurt District through his regular visits to local businesses, learning about their requests. During his visits to neighborhoods and tradespeople, Mayor Geçit closely engages with citizens, especially children and young people he encounters, making sure to listen to their demands and suggestions.
Wishing the tradespeople “prosperous and bountiful earnings” at the businesses he visits and not refusing the teas offered to him, Mayor Geçit emphasized that they are trying to solve the problems of tradespeople and citizens one by one.
Stating that they are acting in unity and solidarity with all segments of society to raise Yeşilyurt to a high standard of living, resilient, and beautiful city identity, Mayor Geçit expressed his gratitude to the tradespeople and citizens who do not withhold their support for the investments and services initiated to uplift the district.
Mayor Geçit once again reminded that they see the tradespeople, who continue their businesses despite the earthquakes and make significant sacrifices for the city’s recovery, as the backbone of the economy, expressing that the collaboration of all city dynamics during this process will contribute to the strengthening of the city both physically and socially.
Adding that the demands, suggestions, and requests of the tradespeople and citizens illuminate the investments made for the future of the city, Mayor Geçit said, “We make sure to listen to the wishes and demands of our citizens by visiting different neighborhoods at every opportunity. We put our hearts, love, and faith into our work. We strive to enhance the value of our district by doing our work in the best way possible and with the finest details. Our tradespeople are the backbone of both our city and the economy. We do our best to ensure that they can work in peace and prosperity. Through the visits we have made, we have had the opportunity to listen to their problems and requests firsthand. The solution proposals of our tradespeople and fellow citizens guide the investments made.”
Mayor Geçit emphasized the importance of consultations with tradespeople, who play a significant role in healing the wounds of the earthquake in Malatya and developing the economy, stating, “We carry out our services taking into account the requests of our tradespeople and citizens. Acting with a common sense approach to live in a more modern and beautiful city, we contribute together to both the present and future of our district, which deserves the best service. Our purpose in visiting neighborhoods is to learn the expectations of our tradespeople and citizens directly from the source and to find quick solutions. As we always say, we will go to our citizens, identify problems on site, and develop solutions together. These visits we make to gather opinions and exchange views with our fellow citizens are extremely productive. As a municipality, we consult with our neighborhood residents and tradespeople regarding the projects and services we have planned for our neighborhoods. As a result, citizens with requests and complaints meet directly with us, and we work to resolve their issues as quickly as possible for their happiness and satisfaction.”
