On the 101st anniversary of the Republic, 101 mountaineers ascended Aladağlar and wrote TUSAŞ.

In Niğde, climbers who ascended to the Emler Summit in the Aladağlar range commemorated the martyrs of TUSAŞ as part of the celebrations for the 101st anniversary of the Republic.

The program “101 Climbers to the Summit in the 101st Year” was organized by the Niğde Governorship, Niğde Municipality, and the Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports. Climbers who set up camp at the Sokulupınar Camp Area in the Çamardı district climbed to the Emler (Engin Tepe) summit at an altitude of 3723 meters to celebrate the 101st year of the Republic. Remembering those who were martyred in the terrorist attack on Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ), the 101 climbers formed the letters TUSAŞ at the summit.

Niğde Governor Cahit Çelik stated, “We have gathered here for a meaningful ascent to the summit of Aladağlar on the 101st anniversary of our Republic. This activity is not just a mountaineering event; it symbolizes the solid foundations of our Republic and our belief in the bright tomorrows we strive for with determination. Aladağlar, which is the brand value of our Niğde, reflects Turkey’s unique geography with its natural beauty, while also symbolizing the contemporary and strong structure of our Republic. Climbing this mountain today does not just mean reaching the summit. It further strengthens our commitment to the values of our Republic and our belief in the future of our country.”

Expressing condolences to the martyrs of the treacherous terrorist attack on TUSAŞ and wishing patience to their relatives, Governor Çelik said, “Such treacherous attacks that aim to disrupt the peace and unity of our nation will never harm the solid foundations of our Republic. With our unity and solidarity, we give the strongest response to those who wish to lead us astray with such attacks. This climb is dedicated to the 101st year of our Republic. We commemorate all our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the independence of our homeland with mercy, and we offer our gratitude to our veterans. We will continue to work together with determination to preserve the legacy they left behind and to advance our Republic in every field.”
