Zeynal Abidin Kaplan, the President of the Southeastern Anatolia Carpet Exporters Association, released a congratulatory message on the occasion of October 29 Republic Day.
In his message, President Kaplan stated, “We are experiencing the joy, pride, and happiness of celebrating the 101st anniversary of our Republic, established after our War of Independence, which is one of the greatest victories our esteemed nation has achieved in unity and solidarity. Happy Republic Day to our nation.”
Kaplan emphasized that thanks to our Republic, which is built upon the legacy of a 600-year-old empire, profound changes have occurred in education, science, art, and all areas of social life. He stated in his message, “Thanks to our Republic, which Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk called ‘my greatest work’, our country has progressed in every field, has become the hope of the oppressed, and has reached a respected position in the world today. Our Republic, which is a centuries-old sycamore tree left to us by our ancestors who fought at the cost of their lives, was established amidst great difficulties. We must learn our history well and teach it to future generations to be worthy of our Republic and the paradise homeland that our ancestors left us, and to always be at the forefront in the race of civilization. We should take the fighting spirit of our ancestors in the past as an example and work to elevate our homeland further in every aspect. We will continue to tightly unite against threats to our unity, peace, and brotherhood, and to uphold our democracy, peace, and brotherhood, while maintaining the fundamental values of our Republic above all discussions. We possess the determination and resolve to overcome all challenges we may encounter on this path. As members of this glorious nation, inspired by our ancestors, we will strive harder, produce more, and thwart the ambitions of traitors, for the great achievements of the Republic of Turkey in every field. With these feelings and thoughts, I sincerely celebrate the Republic Day of our esteemed nation; I commemorate with gratitude, respect, and mercy all our revered martyrs and heroic veterans who sacrificed their lives for our homeland, especially the founder of our Republic, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.”
