Mehmet Çıkmaz, the President of the Southeastern Anatolia Dried Fruits and Products Exporters Union, published a message celebrating the Republic Day on October 29. In his message, President Mehmet Çıkmaz stated that they celebrate the 101st anniversary of the Republic with great enthusiasm, pride, and joy. He said, “We are experiencing the pride and excitement of celebrating the 101st anniversary of our Republic, established as a result of the epic heroism of our great nation, which has lived freely and independently throughout almost every period of history and has never been shackled by chains of bondage. Long live the Republic!” In his message, Çıkmaz emphasized, “The Republic, declared by Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk as ‘The administration most suitable for the character and customs of the Turkish nation is the administration of the Republic,’ is the result of a great victory achieved through the National Struggle, which the Turkish nation undertook with rare faith and determination in history. Today, as we look at the world, especially the Middle East, we understand the value and importance of our Republic, which Atatürk referred to as ‘My greatest work.’ Our Republic, which is the most important legacy left to us by our ancestors, is not only the guarantee of our nation’s living together in peace, freedom, and independence, but it also continues to be a hope for all oppressed nations. The greatest duty that falls upon us in the 100th year of our Republic’s establishment is to tirelessly work on one hand to protect and perpetuate the Republic, and on the other hand to make our country stronger in every sense. While I extend my heartfelt wishes for the Republic Day of October 29 to our nation, I remember with mercy all the heroes of our War of Independence, especially the founder of our Republic, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, and our dear martyrs who gave their lives for our homeland.”
