District Governor Dönmez: “Talas Municipality is the municipality that provides the best service to our muhtars.”

Talas Mayor Mustafa Yalçın met with the district’s muhtars together with Talas District Governor Yaşar Dönmez. In his speech at the meeting, Governor Dönmez praised Mayor Yalçın, saying, “The municipality that provides the best service to our muhtars in Turkey is Talas Municipality.”

The program held at Esma Hatun Social Facility was attended not only by Talas Mayor Mustafa Yalçın and Talas District Governor Yaşar Dönmez, but also by District National Education Director Mustafa Elmalı, District Police Chief Enis Şimşek, District Gendarmerie Commander Fatih Özer, District Agriculture and Forestry Director Okay Sağnak, District Health Director İsmail Kılıç, deputy mayors, department heads, and muhtars. In the widely attended meeting, Talas Mayor Mustafa Yalçın began his speech by celebrating Muhtarlar Day. Mayor Yalçın stated that they do not meet with the muhtars only once a year; “Last term, we met 44 times. Since the election, we have met 11 times. Sometimes we gather with our rural muhtars. Sometimes we meet with the muhtars from the central neighborhoods. Sometimes we all come together. May God grant us many more years of health and success. May God not let the state fall apart. The work of the country never ends; we are here to make the lives of the people living in our country easier, as we are already at the forefront of the work. You are said to be the capillaries of the state. Next month, write down the issues you want us and other institutions to include in the investment program. God willing, we will make every effort. Finally, I want to say this: We are all one family. We love you. We love our villages and our people.” he stated.

Talas District Governor Yaşar Dönmez also pointed out that muhtars have a very important function in the country’s governance system, saying, “Happy Muhtarlar Day. We thank our mayor for bringing us together. I always say, let’s not hesitate to speak about the good things. We live together in Talas and try to manage together. We are living together in one of the most peaceful districts in Turkey, in a very beautiful setting. I thank our mayor who works with great effort to produce services regardless of whether it was in the law or not, and all the municipality personnel. May God bless them. They assist us in every way. As the mayor who collaborates the most with muhtars in Turkey and provides the best service, you have given the best reward to our muhtars. Since you muhtars have contributed to the atmosphere of peace, security, and service in Talas, may God bless you.” he expressed.

After the speeches, evaluations were made with the muhtars. At the meeting, the muhtars thanked Talas Mayor Mustafa Yalçın for the investments and services made in their neighborhoods.
