President Seçer: “Together, we will provide very valuable services to the people of Gülnar.”

Mersin Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Vahap Seçer visited Gülnar District Governor Yusuf Ziya Yaktı and Mayor Fatih Önge at their offices. Seçer stated, “Together, we will provide very valuable services to the people of Gülnar.”

Mayor Seçer first visited Mayor Önge. He expressed that he had the chance to visit Mayor Önge in his office for the first time after the elections but mentioned that they often met in the field. Seçer noted that, just like in Mersin, Gülnar also had a dignified election process. He said, “Our people appreciated this in Mersin and Gülnar. Their appreciation is our crown. Naturally, we go to elections under the umbrella of a party. Elections end, and our party identity, ideology, and worldview are our honor; however, during the service phase, party and ideology are set aside. Serving the citizens is essential, regardless of party distinctions. We have served with this principle for 5 years, and we will continue to do so in the second 5 years.”

Emphasizing that they have collaborated in service with district municipalities without party distinctions, Seçer stated, “We have seen that where we cooperate, the service becomes more effective and of higher quality. Public satisfaction improves. The people in Gülnar should know that both the Metropolitan Municipality and Gülnar Municipality carry out these works. I believe that in the upcoming period, we will be able to provide very beautiful services to Gülnar in cooperation. I hope we will provide very valuable and special services to the people of Gülnar together.”

Visit to District Governor Yaktı by Seçer

Later, Seçer also visited District Governor Yusuf Ziya Yaktı at his office, stating that Gülnar is a district where hardworking and productive people live. Seçer said, “Combining our strengths with both our district municipalities and other institutions makes our job easier. Thus, we can achieve more effective results. In this regard, I find these visits important. We see that the work done by going to people and regions and establishing contact yields extraordinary results.”

District Governor Yusuf Ziya Yaktı expressed his satisfaction with the visit and thanked Mayor Seçer. Seçer also visited the Gülnar Higher Education Girls’ Student Dormitory, which is affiliated with the Metropolitan Municipality, and chatted with the students.
