Ankara Metropolitan Municipality (ABB) President Mansur Yavaş, in his speech at the opening of the ‘T.C. Long Live the Republic Tunnel’ prepared for the 101st anniversary of the Republic’s establishment, stated, “We steadfastly uphold our Republic and repeat; long live the Republic of Turkey, long live the Republic, and defying those who cannot say it, how happy is the one who says I am a Turk.”
The tunnel, which is planned to digitally present the values of the Republic, the struggle for liberation, and the principles and reforms of Atatürk with artificial intelligence support for the first time in Turkey, was opened by Ankara Metropolitan Municipality (ABB) President Mansur Yavaş.
“Defying those who cannot say it, how happy is the one who says I am a Turk”
In the event held for the 101st anniversary of the Republic of Turkey, ABB President Mansur Yavaş said, “Today, we will host you in the Republic tunnel we organized for the 101st anniversary of our Republic. First of all, I condemn the terrorist attack that occurred two days ago once again, and we cannot say that any just cause has a purpose of killing. A murderer is a murderer, regardless of who they are; we must look at everyone who takes human life as a murderer, and for this reason, we hope that our country will find peace in the days to come. The heroic stories of Atatürk and his comrades, Nene Hatun, Şerife Bacı, Kara Fatma, and our martyrs who gave their lives to prevent the country from being divided in the face of terrorism give us strength and honor. We will never forget. As generations entrusted by Atatürk with the Republic and the country, we want it to be known that we will never allow the borders of our country to be drawn by other states, just as in the national struggle, by following the path of our great leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. We steadfastly uphold our Republic and repeat; long live the Republic of Turkey, long live the Republic, and defying those who cannot say it, how happy is the one who says I am a Turk.”
