This year’s event of Ironman 70.3 Turkey will not only celebrate athletic endurance but will also emphasize inclusivity. The event will host disabled athletes and will see over 2,000 participants from 78 countries. The event, held during Antalya’s off-peak season, will welcome more than 5,000 visitors and will continue to significantly contribute to tourism and the local economy.
Ironman, the world’s largest series of sports events, taking place on 7 continents and in over 200 cities, will be held in Turkey for the 10th time. In this true test of endurance, athletes will balance speed and energy conservation as they overcome the challenges of swimming in open waters, cycling long distances, and running a half marathon. The race will begin with the swimming segment at Kadriye Beach Park and conclude at Land of Legends.
Over 2,000 athletes from 78 countries
As one of the most recognized sports events in the world, Ironman continues to push athletes to challenge their limits. Ironman 70.3 Turkey, featuring over 2,000 athletes aged between 18 and 79 from 78 countries, showcases global sportsmanship and inclusivity. Athletes from a wide range, from Ivory Coast to Argentina, will compete side by side.
This year’s Ironman 70.3 Turkey will welcome a team of disabled athletes, including Okan Aracagök, who, due to spinal cord injury, will participate in the wheelchair running segment. Tuna Tunca (autism) will complete the swimming segment, while Merve Orhan (visually impaired) will participate in the tandem cycling segment.

The race will kick off at 08:00 AM with athletes diving into the water at Kadriye Beach Park. The first athlete is expected to cross the finish line around 11:30 AM, while the true hero of the day is usually the last athlete to reach the finish line, typically between 5:00 PM and 5:30 PM. This athlete will complete the race, showcasing extraordinary endurance. The day will culminate in an awards ceremony at the Land of Legends Tower at 6:30 PM, followed by the 10th Year Legends Party, celebrating the unforgettable achievements of all participants of Ironman 70.3 Turkey.
