The first Career Fair BTÜKAF’24, hosted by Bursa Technical University (BTÜ), welcomed nearly 4,000 students over the course of 2 days. At the fair, which featured the participation of 20 leading companies in their sectors, over a thousand students applied for internships and jobs.

Representatives from companies and students, evaluating the two-day event, believe that the fair offered great opportunities.
Organized by the BTÜ Career Development Application and Research Center (BUKAGEM) to strengthen the bridges between the university and the business world and to provide students with new career opportunities, BTÜKAF’24 was held in the G Block Foyer Area of the Mimar Sinan Campus. During the 2-day event featuring 20 different companies, students had the chance to meet one-on-one with company representatives. Out of the total of 10,000 undergraduate students at BTÜ, nearly 4,000, or 40% of the students, participated in the fair, while over a thousand students had one-on-one meetings with companies to apply for jobs and internships.
Rector Çağlar: “The fair will become a tradition”
Evaluating the fair, BTÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Naci Çağlar shared his pride in the university successfully completing its first fair. He noted that many students found job and internship opportunities thanks to this fair, stating, “With a student-centered university approach, we brought pioneering companies in their sectors together with our students at BTÜKAF’24. At the fair, where nearly 4,000 of our students participated, over a thousand of our students applied for jobs and internships. All of our students benefited from seminars on interview techniques, career planning, and more. I hope that this fair, which we will organize each year with an expanding scope, will benefit all our students.”
BUKAGEM Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hasan Şahin also stated, “BTÜKAF’24 has become an important meeting point that guides our students’ careers. During the fair, which saw intense participation, our students benefited from guiding activities not only regarding internships and job opportunities but also in their career planning over the course of 2 days. I would like to express that we will organize the fair every year with an expanding scope.”
