The “Cyber Security Training Cooperation Protocol” signed between the Dicle Development Agency (DİKA) and Batman University on July 18, 2024, initiated the “Turkey Cyber Homeland Program” for the 2025 period.

The program aims to meet Turkey’s need for cybersecurity experts by raising awareness among university students, identifying potential talents, and implementing training and skill development activities to promote their career planning in digital and cybersecurity technologies. Additionally, the program aims to support the students.

The conditions for applying to the program, which can be accessed via the link https://basvuru.sibervatan.org/batman-2025-donemi-siber-vatan-programi-x2galk, are as follows: the student must be enrolled in undergraduate or associate degree programs at Batman University during the 2024-2025 academic year (There are no departmental restrictions.), the student must be skilled in information technology, interested in digital technologies, and willing to improve themselves, and the student must be able to attend the in-person trainings that will be organized throughout the academic calendar year (Attendance is mandatory for the trainings).

It was announced that applications for those wishing to apply to the program could be made through the link until 23:59 on Friday, October 25, 2024.

As a result of the evaluations made by DİKA, students whose applications are accepted will be directed to the “Cyber Homeland Hackviser” platform, and they will be asked to complete the online trainings and tasks on the platform (Linux training, Network training, and exam) within 15 days.

Students who complete the tasks on the Hackviser Platform will be subjected to an exam, and the 40 successful students will be entitled to receive face-to-face training.

Students will participate in three trainings: White Hat Hacker (CEH) Training, Web Security Training, and Reverse Engineering Training, each lasting five days and conducted face to face. The trainings will take place at the Batman University West Raman Campus.

Students participating in technical trainings and applications as part of the Cyber Homeland program will be directed to teams formed for deeper and technical trainings in the subfields of cybersecurity. During the Cyber Homeland Bootcamp event, teams formed in the subfields of cybersecurity will undergo 7 days of in-depth and technical training, tasks and applications, reverse engineering studies, scenario-based drills, and competitions.
