The groundbreaking ceremony of Namazgah Mosque, which will significantly contribute to the spiritual and cultural structure of Arnavutköy, was attended by a large number of participants. The ceremony, which was for a meaningful project that will add value to the district, was attended by Arnavutköy Mayor Mustafa Candaroğlu, Arnavutköy District Governor Mahmut Hersanlıoğlu, Istanbul Deputy Yahya Çelik, Istanbul Deputy Seda Gören Bölük, AK Party Arnavutköy District Chairman Gökhan Gürek, Arnavutköy District Mufti Arif Yeşiloğlu, and many citizens. The ceremony began with prayers, and the participants showed great interest in the project.
A new spiritual artifact for the district
Namazgah Mosque, which will be built on a total area of 2,750 square meters, will add significant value to the district both with its architectural structure and its spiritual meaning. The project will include a large worship area in the mosque. Additionally, the mosque will be enriched with an aesthetic fountain area. Expected to be one of the prominent architectural structures in Istanbul, the mosque is being realized through donations from a benevolent citizen. The mosque, which has already received great admiration due to the spaciousness of the worship areas and its aesthetic design, will make an important contribution to the spiritual fabric of the region. The mosque project, prepared under the leadership of renowned architect Han Tümertekin, draws attention with its architectural design that has the potential to win international awards. Once completed, Namazgah Mosque will stand out as one of the striking architectural structures in Istanbul and will be among the most prestigious places of worship in the district.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Mayor Mustafa Candaroğlu stated, “Namazgah Mosque will be a place of worship located within the Management Center, which houses both our district governor’s office and our municipal service building as well as our social facilities. This mosque will be an important meeting point for both worship and social activities. In this sense, it will not only be a spiritual value but will also make a significant contribution to the cultural heritage of Arnavutköy. I express my gratitude to all the benefactors who supported the project, and may God grant us the opportunity to remember this mosque with goodness.” Mayor Candaroğlu also emphasized the architectural and cultural value the mosque will add to the region, indicating that the project’s architecture has been carefully designed and it will be a work that will gain appreciation on an international level. Thanking those who contributed to the project, Mayor Candaroğlu stated that such initiatives will continue to increase in Arnavutköy.
