The Ministry of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change had started the construction of disaster housing to heal the wounds of the earthquakes. As a result of the round-the-clock efforts coordinated by the Hatay Governorship, citizens began to return to their homes as of February 6. Up to today, 25,916 workplaces and residences have been delivered to citizens. While it is planned to deliver 44,227 residences by the end of 2024, the goal is to deliver 146,479 residences and 11,721 workplaces to disaster-affected citizens by the end of 2025. Citizens who have settled in their homes in the Gülderen neighborhood of Antakya district, where a new city center has been established, expressed their gratitude.

56-year-old Aysel Önal, expressing their efforts to heal the wounds of the disaster, stated, “We are very pleased with our house; may God bless everyone who contributed. The house that was destroyed in Aksaray neighborhood is exactly the same, as if the plan is the same. Of course, we were a bit saddened, but we are trying to return to normal slowly.”
