25 kindergartens will be built in Nilüfer.

Nilüfer Mayor Şadi Özdemir stated that one of the biggest problems in the district is preschool education, and mentioned that they will build 25 daycare centers in 5 years. He noted that they have opened 2 daycare centers and that a new daycare center will be opened in the coming days, thanking the philanthropists for their support. Mayor Şadi Özdemir expressed that the daycare centers will operate throughout the day, saying, “The locations for these places are ready. We will solve this issue in the district by opening 5 daycare centers each year.”

Explaining that the daycare centers are brought to life with the support of philanthropists, President Özdemir announced that the new daycare center will open in 15-20 days. Highlighting that the daycare centers alleviate the burdens of housewives and working women, President Özdemir stated:

“There are two sides to this; we see it as the freedom of working women and housewives. On the other hand, we will ensure that our children learn to work together in a social environment and act together with certain behaviors. We will educate the children while also supporting women’s freedom. We will take care of your children. I thank the philanthropists who donated to the construction of the daycare centers.”

President Özdemir mentioned that they have laid the foundation for a new daycare center in İhsaniye, and that the locations for the daycare centers in Ahmet Yesevi and Balkan neighborhoods are also ready, emphasizing that they will implement a suitable project for a night daycare center after research.

President Özdemir reminded that they are trying to rectify the financial situation in Nilüfer Municipality, stating that salaries are paid regularly without distinction between civil servants and workers. He said, “Immediately after taking office, we quickly paid off the debts of the workers. There was financial trouble due to the previous administration. The central budget also made a cut of 82 million lira. Therefore, this disrupted our balance, but we are still maintaining discipline. We will be more comfortable in May 2025. By 2026, we will have no financial problems. We have also reduced our personnel count by 200 since we took office.”
