Students benefiting from the 100th Year Libraries established by Türk Telekom and the Red Crescent in the provinces affected by the earthquake have achieved significant success in their exams with the educational and technological support provided in the libraries.
Türk Telekom continues to turn technology into goodness and benefit through its corporate social responsibility initiatives. In the 100th Year Libraries, where the company provides fiber infrastructure, technology, and WiFi support, middle and high school students prepared for LGS and YKS using Sebit’s instructional videos, practice exams, and solved questions. Middle school students achieved successful results in LGS, while those preparing for YKS were placed in their targeted fields. Throughout the year, students benefited from Sebit’s printed products and personalized smart study programs created with artificial intelligence technology, and they also met with expert trainers during motivation training sessions held before the exams.
“We are preparing tomorrow’s successful leaders for the future by combining education with technology” Türk Telekom Corporate Communication Director Arif Sancaktaroğlu stated, “With our social responsibility projects implemented under the understanding of ‘Value to Turkey’, we continue to turn technology into goodness and benefit. Through our collaboration with the Red Crescent, the 100th Year Libraries served tens of thousands of students last year. As part of the project we implemented to ensure that our students’ education is not disrupted due to the earthquake, we aimed to support students in preparing for their exams in the best possible way with Sebit’s printed and digital solutions, fiber internet, and computer support. With the announcement of the YKS placement results, we are celebrating the joy of our students receiving the fruits of their efforts. By being placed in high-scoring fields such as medicine, law, dentistry, and software engineering, they will play significant roles in the construction of the Turkey Century. As a company, I wish our students, whom we support in accessing information, success in their educational lives. Additionally, in the new academic year, the 100th Year Libraries will continue to serve our students. We will continue to contribute to our students’ educational lives by increasing the number of libraries in collaboration with the Red Crescent every day.”
Students Achieved Their University Dreams with the 100th Year Libraries
According to the statement, students preparing for exams in the 100th Year Libraries have signed many success stories. Students who began living in container cities after the earthquake benefited from the library’s quiet study environment, regular study hours, and practice exams held on weekends, preparing for their exams with the assistance of tutors. Students who showed great effort throughout the year were placed in prestigious fields such as dentistry, medical school, law school, and software engineering.
More than 40,000 students have benefited from the 100th Year Libraries, which were first established in Hatay, followed by Kahramanmaraş, Adıyaman, Osmaniye, Malatya, and Gaziantep, in collaboration with Türk Telekom and its subsidiary Sebit, along with the Red Crescent. The 100th Year Libraries, which serve students continuing their education in the earthquake-affected area, will continue to provide support to students in the 2024-2025 academic year.
