In Mersin, the gala of the animated film titled ‘Mustafa’, which is about Atatürk’s childhood, was held. The Mayor of the Metropolitan Municipality, Vahap Seçer, who attended the gala, stated, “The founder of the Republic of Turkey, the Great Leader Atatürk, is a great value for us. It is our duty to pass on his views, thoughts, and principles to the next generation.”

The gala of the animated film ‘Mustafa’, which focuses on Mustafa Kemal Atatürk’s childhood, was hosted by the Metropolitan Municipality at the Yenişehir Atatürk Cultural Center. The gala program began with a preview of the film, attended by producers Kamuran Ayna and Emir Cömert, where Mayor Seçer was also present with his wife, Meral Seçer.

The film will be released on October 25.

After watching the film, Mayor Seçer evaluated it, stating that the gala was also held in Istanbul and Ankara besides Mersin. He noted that the film tells the childhood period of Mustafa Kemal between the ages of 6 and 12 and said, “The film consists of four separate parts; today we watched the first part, which is the childhood period. Later, it will cover his youth, adulthood, and finally, the years when he passed away. There are very important details for our children; it examines the character and perspective of a leader who left a mark on a century from his childhood. In the upcoming parts, this character will reveal itself.”

Expressing his gratitude to all the crew who contributed to the film, especially the producers, Seçer hoped that the efforts would be rewarded once the film is released. He said, “The founder of the Republic of Turkey, the Great Leader Atatürk, is a value for us. It is our duty to pass on his views, thoughts, and principles to the next generation.”

“The path we draw for ourselves is Mustafa Kemal’s path.”

Seçer expressed that they work with an understanding that follows Mustafa Kemal Atatürk’s path, stating, “As the leaders of today, we are determined to bring Turkey to better places, prioritize the welfare of society, and create a more democratic society and a country that adheres more to the norms of law. The path we have drawn for ourselves is Mustafa Kemal’s path.”

“We watched a leader’s childhood processes in more detail.”

Meral Seçer, who expressed that she liked the film, also thanked everyone who contributed. She said, “We knew about Atatürk’s childhood experiences through small anecdotes, but here we watched his humanity, determination, and the processes a leader goes through in childhood in more detail, sometimes laughing and sometimes feeling emotional.”

“We aimed to introduce Atatürk’s life in a more entertaining way.”

Producer Emir Cömert provided information about the film, stating that they aimed to introduce Mustafa Kemal Atatürk’s life to children in a more entertaining way through the animated film. Producer Kamuran Ayna noted that they held the gala for the first film of a four-part series to tell Atatürk’s epic heroism story to children. Ayna said, “From here, we wanted to show Atatürk’s sorrows, joys, and sadness, but also his wishes as a child and how resilient he could be in front of them. There were many films about the Great Leader, but we wanted it to be in animation form for the first time to attract children’s attention more.”
