The 184th anniversary of the establishment of PTT was celebrated in Niğde.

A celebration program was organized in Niğde for the 184th anniversary of PTT.

First, Niğde PTT Director Fahri Çelikel and the institution’s staff visited Niğde Governor Cahit Çelik, then they cut the 184th anniversary cake at the PTT branch. A stamp collection was presented to the customer who received service with the 184th serial number on the occasion of PTT’s 184th anniversary. Fahri Çeliker, Niğde PTT Director, stated that they were happy to celebrate the institution’s 184th anniversary at the event held at the directorate.

Stating that PTT, which started its activities on October 23, 1840, under the name of the Post Office Ministry to ensure communication, is the most reliable actor in Turkey’s communication field with nearly two centuries of experience, Çeliker said, “PTT is moving forward confidently into the future with the strength it derives from the past. The Postal and Telegraph Organization Joint Stock Company, operating under the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, continues to facilitate citizens’ lives with the quality services it has provided as Turkey’s eye-catching institution in the field of communication and correspondence since its establishment. With its wide range of services, business network reaching all over Turkey, its subsidiaries, and partnerships, PTT successfully makes a name for itself both nationally and internationally, maintaining its activities in a reliable, accessible, fast, and quality manner, in accordance with the technologies of the age.

Preserving and sustaining national values, PTT has successfully fulfilled critical duties it has undertaken under all circumstances throughout its 184-year history. Despite extraordinary developments such as the global health crisis experienced in recent years and the earthquake disaster that deeply shook our country, it responds quickly to citizens’ needs with the devoted efforts of its staff, who work hard to overcome all kinds of difficulties.” After his speech, Çeliker cut the cake for the 184th anniversary together with the customer served with the 184th serial number and the institution’s staff.
