Real estate expert Şule Alp Duman announced that housing sales across Turkey increased by 37.3% in September compared to the same month last year, reaching 140,919.

The increase in housing sales continues. As the increase reflects in the statistics, real estate expert Şule Alp Duman made evaluations regarding the matter. Duman stated that sales in September increased by 37.3% compared to the same month last year, and noted that this statistic represents the highest monthly sales rate since December 2022. Duman also added that sales in the first 9 months increased by 5.2% compared to the previous year, and mentioned that in terms of financed sales, 15,825 was reached, marking the highest figure since August 2023.

Real estate expert Şule Alp Duman said, “Unfortunately, housing sales saw a significant decline in the first 6 months of 2024. However, we can say that the situation has started to change now. The rise in sales began in July with 127 thousand. Then, it exceeded 134 thousand in August, and continued to rise in September, reaching 141 thousand. The highest monthly sales since December 2022 were recorded. Additionally, looking at the first 9 months of the year, there was again a 5.2% increase compared to the same period in 2023. The 15,825 financed sales accounted for 11.2% of total sales. Finally, within total housing sales, the share of first-hand housing sales was 31.8%, while the share of second-hand housing sales was 68.2%.”
