Egypt’s Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Sherif Magdy Ahmed, stated, “We aim to increase the trade volume between Turkey and Egypt from 10 billion dollars to 15 billion dollars. We will try to do our part in line with this goal.”

Minister Sherif Magdy Ahmed and his accompanying delegation visited Türbosan, located in the Dilovası Machinery Specialized Organized Industrial Zone. Minister Sherif Magdy Ahmed was accompanied by Deputy Minister Dr. Engineer Sayed Ismail Ali Ahmed, Chairman of the Central Drinking Water Wastewater Drainage Administration Ahmed Abdelkader Mohamed Ahmed, and Türbosan Egypt Representative Mohamed Nabil Fatouh Mohamed Selim.

Minister Sherif Magdy Ahmed, referring to the relations between the two countries, stated, “We are trying to elevate the commercial relations to the highest level with the visit of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to Egypt and President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi’s visit to your country. We aim to increase the trade volume between Turkey and Egypt from 10 billion dollars to 15 billion dollars. We will do our best to achieve this goal.”
Sherif Magdy Ahmed mentioned that Egypt has made significant decisions for industrialization, saying, “Currently, the Vice President of Egypt is serving solely responsible for industry. Egypt wants to utilize both its own resources and foreign opportunities.”
“We aim to take collaborations even further”
Türbosan’s Chairman of the Board, Sedat Silahtaroğlu, said, “We are trying to elevate our commercial relations to the highest level. We know that Egypt is taking significant steps towards industrialization. As Turkey, we aim to take our place here. As you know, many industrialists from Turkey have gone to Egypt. Especially in the textile sector, developments are taking place here.”
Sedat Silahtaroğlu highlighted that there could be new investments in the machinery sector and related sectors regarding Egypt’s needs. He noted that Turkey aims to strengthen its historical ties with Egypt by developing joint investments and production projects, expressing his belief that the visit would reinforce the friendship between the two countries.
