Battalgazi Mayor Bayram Taşkın visited the condolence tent set up in Kernek Square for the martyr leader of Hamas, Yahya Sinwar, and prayed for the deceased mujahid.
After the martyrdom of Yahya Sinwar, one of the leading figures of Hamas and a symbolic name of the Palestinian cause, a condolence tent was established in Kernek Square in Battalgazi. Mayor Bayram Taşkın prayed for Yahya Sinwar during his visit to this meaningful place. In his speech during the visit, Mayor Taşkın addressed the importance of the concept of martyrdom for the Palestinian cause and emphasized that Sinwar was one of the symbols of resistance, stating: ‘Yahya Sinwar was a leader who dedicated his life to the freedom and quest for justice of the Palestinian people. He was not just a leader, but one of the symbolic names of resistance. His martyrdom holds great significance not only for the Palestinian cause but also for all oppressed regions. His struggle inspires all of us on the path to justice and freedom.’
In his speech, Battalgazi Mayor Bayram Taşkın also commemorated other mujahideen who led the Palestinian cause, such as Abdul Aziz al-Rantisi, Sheikh Ahmed Yassin, and Ismail Haniyeh, emphasizing that these heroes will never be forgotten: ‘These commanders have always been at the forefront of the struggle of oppressed peoples. Even if they are killed, their causes continue to live on. New leaders and new heroes will emerge after the martyrs among the mujahideen. Their struggles, their quests for justice will never end. Leaders like Yahya Sinwar, Abdul Aziz al-Rantisi, Sheikh Ahmed Yassin, and Ismail Haniyeh have shown us the eternity of the struggle. The Palestinian people will continue to follow the path of these leaders.’
The citizens who attended the visit gathered in this meaningful condolence tent organized to keep the memory of Yahya Sinwar alive and prayed together. Mayor Taşkın emphasized that Sinwar and other mujahideen dedicated their lives to the Palestinian cause, stating that the struggle will continue and that these heroes will never be forgotten.
