Minister Kacır on industrial and technological diplomacy
Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır held a series of meetings within the framework of the International Defense, Aviation and Space Industry Fair – SAHA EXPO. Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır stated that “SAHA” is the largest industrial cluster in Europe.

Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır conducted a series of meetings at the International Defense, Aerospace and Space Industry Fair – SAHA EXPO, organized by “SAHA Istanbul,” the largest industrial cluster in Europe, at the Istanbul Fair Center, where 1,478 companies from over 120 countries, 178 foreign purchasing delegations, and 312 official delegations, including 25 at ministerial level, participated.
Minister Kacır held his first meeting with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha, with whom Turkey has been progressing relations in all areas since 2011 at the “strategic partnership” level. In his meeting with Iraqi Minister of Industry and Minerals Prof. Dr. Khalid Battal Necim, topics such as the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Field of SMEs, the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in Science, Technology, and Innovation, and the Agreement on the Reciprocal Promotion and Protection of Investments (YKTK) were discussed.
Kacır also met with Romania’s Minister of Economy, Entrepreneurship and Tourism Ştefan Radu Oprea, where bilateral political, diplomatic, and military relations continue multilaterally within platforms such as the European Union (EU), the Southeast European Cooperation Process (SEECP), the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC), and NATO. In the meeting, topics such as the previously signed Turkey-Romania Joint Industrial Working Group (OSÇG), the Agreement on the Reciprocal Promotion and Protection of Investments (YKTK), and the Memorandum of Understanding for Supporting Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises were evaluated.
In his meeting with Somali Minister of Defense Abdulkadir Mohamed Nur, topics included the Cooperation Agreement in the Field of the Use of Outer Space and Earth Systems through Space Sciences, Technologies, and Applications to be used in Space Research, the Framework Agreement on Defense and Economic Cooperation, the In-Kind Grant Support Agreement, the Development Cooperation Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Turkey and the Government of the Federal Republic of Somalia, and the Agreement on the Reciprocal Promotion and Protection of Investments. The meeting also addressed topics such as increasing cooperation in industrial development, particularly with SMEs, and accelerating Somali development with the support of international financial institutions.
