The Efeler Municipality Autism Life Center continues its work with the aim of contributing to the development of individuals with autism and raising awareness in society.
Efeler Mayor Anıl Yetişkin continues to showcase meaningful examples of social municipality understanding, alongside basic municipal services. Since taking office, he has been working to develop and expand the service network of Efeler Municipality. One of these is the Autism Life Center, which positively contributes to the lives of individuals with autism, is the most comprehensive in the region in its field, and offers services completely free of charge. The Efeler Municipality Autism Life Center aims to develop independent living skills and reduce behavioral problems with its expert staff.
Individuals with autism receive training under the educational programs offered completely free of charge at Efeler Municipality’s meaningful center, focusing on the development of perception, memory, motor, language, and communication skills, as well as social adaptation and academic skills. Additionally, one of the center’s goals is to increase autism awareness in society and advocate for the rights of individuals with special needs.
At the center, where lessons are provided on every aspect of life, various training is given in areas such as occupational therapy, sensory integration, sports, music, art, play, special education, and speech language.
How to register?
Individuals diagnosed with autism by the Guidance and Research Center (RAM) can register at the center located at No. 9, Batı Aydın Boulevard, Yedi Eylul Neighborhood with their reports. There is no age limit for individuals who want to receive education at the institution. For new registrations, students coming to the institution for the first time are assessed by teachers. Based on the assessment results, programs tailored to their needs are prepared. Each lesson lasts 40 minutes, and after each lesson, parents are informed about the student’s status.
