He will continue to contribute to the Group as the Senior Advisor to the Board of Directors of the Holding starting from the new year. During the transition period, the top management of the Group will work directly under Bülent Eczacıbaşı, the Chairman of the Board of Eczacıbaşı Holding.
Who is Atalay Gümrah?
Atalay Gümrah completed his undergraduate and graduate education in the Department of Industrial Engineering at Boğaziçi University after graduating from Galatasaray High School. He started his career in 1992 at Eczacıbaşı Group, where he served as the Regional Manager for Ekom Foreign Trade. Between 1994-1997, he worked as the Trade Manager at VitrA UK, and in 1997, he became the Company Manager at EBM Jsc in Russia. From 1999 to 2005, he held various positions at İntema, including Project and Public Works Manager, Sales Operations Manager, and Deputy General Manager. From 2006 to 2011, he served as the General Manager of İntema. In January 2011, he was appointed as the Vice President responsible for Bathrooms at Eczacıbaşı Building Products Group and General Manager of Eczacıbaşı Building Materials. In October 2013, in addition to his existing roles, he also took on the position of Group President. Gümrah has been a board member in various companies within Eczacıbaşı Building Products Group and became the CEO of Eczacıbaşı Group on February 1, 2017. He holds board memberships in companies of Eczacıbaşı Group and has also been serving as the General Manager of Eczacıbaşı Holding since January 1, 2019. Additionally, he has been holding the position of Chairman of the Board of the Land Employers Union and has been the Chairman of the Turkey-Germany Business Council of the Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEİK) since January 1, 2022.
