An event titled ‘opening lecture and discussion on animation’ was held at Kütahya Dumlupınar University (DPÜ) Faculty of Fine Arts (GSF), featuring Rafadan Tayfa Film Director İsmail Fidan as a speaker.

The event, held in the GSF Ahmet Yakupoğlu Conference Hall, was attended by Rector Prof. Dr. Süleyman Kızıltoprak, Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts Prof. Dr. Levent Mercin, staff, and students.

In his opening speech, Prof. Dr. Süleyman Kızıltoprak noted that the opening lecture event of the Faculty of Fine Arts started with a very important discussion and stated that students would gain significant insights from the experiences shared by guest İsmail Fidan.

Sharing his experiences with the participants and providing information about a career in animation, Rafadan Tayfa Film Director İsmail Fidan expressed that animation has a universal aspect as it appeals to audiences of all ages. He mentioned that Rafadan Tayfa is the most-watched local and foreign animation in Turkey, and that the production has been requested from many countries, especially the United States. İsmail Fidan stated, “Rafadan Tayfa has become a work that transcends national borders. The greatest success in this is the fact that this film is the most-watched animation series in Turkey. Because it is not very possible for a work that does not exist locally to be recognized on a global scale.”

Fidan emphasized that the character design, voice acting, and scriptwriting of Rafadan Tayfa is a result of significant teamwork and informed students about career opportunities in the industry.

After the promotional video of Rafadan Tayfa, a question-and-answer session was held, and the event concluded with a group photo.
