The Muğla Provincial Directorate of National Education organized an award ceremony for the Muğla Education Projects Promotion and Good Practices in Education Competition.
The award ceremony for the Muğla education projects promotion and good practices in education competition was held at the 15 July Martyrs Hall of the Atatürk Cultural Center of Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University. Speaking at the award ceremony, Muğla Provincial Director of National Education Emre Çay said, “We are happy to promote our educational projects that we have implemented under the auspices of our Governorship and are successfully carried out throughout the province, as well as to hold the award ceremony for our Good Practices in Education Competition. We are working with all our strength to raise the educational standards of our province and to achieve the goals of the Turkey Century Education Model. The ‘One Book One Person Project’ initiated in our schools under the auspices of our governor last year will continue this academic year with valuable activities. With the One Book One Person Project, which aims to instill a reading habit in our students and to further develop their listening, watching, reading, speaking, and writing skills, we will continue to raise critical thinkers who view the world and events from a broader perspective and to nurture productive individuals.”
Muğla Governor İdris Akbıyık stated, “Today we are together to recognize the valuable projects we carry out for our most precious assets, our children, who will shape the future of our country, and to highlight the importance of these projects. The role of education in the development of individuals and society is undeniable. We know that education is the future of a nation. We emphasize the importance of education on every occasion and mobilize all our resources to ensure that our children and youth receive the best education and prepare them for the future in the best way possible. We are carrying out comprehensive studies to improve the physical conditions of our schools. In the last two years, a total of 17 schools and 210 classrooms have been established in our province. On the other hand, in the last two years, with the resources of our state, 50 of our schools and 110 buildings have been strengthened and renewed to be earthquake-resistant. With the studies we carry out, we aim to increase the number of our modern and safe schools that meet the requirements of the age, providing our students with a better educational environment. Under the leadership of our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the ‘Turkey Century Education Model’ implemented by our Ministry of National Education this year has brought a new vision to education. This model aims to create a contemporary and dynamic education system based on the principles and reforms of Atatürk, in light of our national and spiritual values. We place great importance on the overall development of our children alongside their academic success, and in this direction, we have implemented many projects in cooperation with our Provincial Directorate of National Education. With valuable projects such as ‘One Book One Person’, ‘We Are Side by Side’, ‘Blue Green Schools’, and the soon-to-be-launched ‘From Education to Production’ in our province, we aim to enhance our children’s academic success as well as their social, cultural, vocational achievements, and environmental awareness. With these projects, we encourage our students to read, empathize, be environmentally conscious, and set goals for the future. During the Muğla Interaction Days, we are creating a comprehensive series of events aimed at increasing interaction among administrators and teachers and strengthening solidarity. All of the mentioned projects are important steps that strengthen Muğla’s educational vision, prepare our students for the future, and highlight social values. Our teachers are the architects who build the future of our nation. The Teacher Academies initiated by our Ministry support the professional development of our teachers and enable them to continuously renew themselves. They contribute to the continuous development of our teachers to ensure that our students are raised in the best possible way.”
After the speeches, the awards for the winners of the competitions were presented by Muğla Governor İdris Akbıyık and protocol members.
