This year, the 8th “International Adana Flavor Festival” held in Adana sees the highest interest in kebab. The smoke from the Adana kebabs seems to cover the sky, and the long lines formed by citizens in front of the kebab shops were captured by drones.

Hosted by the Adana Governorship, with contributions from the Metropolitan Municipality, district municipalities, chambers, and non-governmental organizations, the 8th International Adana Flavor Festival continues with great enthusiasm on its last day at Merkez Park.

Those coming from all over Turkey and abroad to the festival area enjoyed tasting Adana flavors while also having fun at various events. As always, the highest interest at the festival was shown to Adana kebab.

The sky was filled with smoke

Citizens formed long lines in front of the kebab shops. Additionally, the smoke rising from the grills where Adana kebabs were cooked practically filled the sky. A queue of about 100 meters formed in front of the kebab shops, which was also captured by drones. The festival delighted both the tradesmen and the citizens.

“You can never get enough of Adana kebab”

Speaking to İhlas News Agency, kebab shop owner Yaşar Aydın stated that everyone is happy, saying, “We say come to the smoke, come to the smoke. There is a crowd. The line has exceeded 100 meters. It is heading towards 500 meters. The air is filled with smoke. The reason for our airport’s departure from here was our kebab smoke. The festival is taking off. Everyone is happy, we are happy. You can never get enough of Adana kebab. You can only be full for that meal. You can eat Adana kebab for breakfast and even before going to bed at night. The festival area is very beautiful. Everyone is happy when they eat.”

Mehmet Hanbay and Hülya Hanbay, a couple who came from Hatay for the festival, said they liked the festival very much and waited in line for a while for the kebab.

“We waited in line for kebab, but it was worth it”

Ali Carti, who came from Ankara to the festival to eat kebab, expressed, “I found the festival very beautiful. Everything with food is very nice. We liked it a lot. We waited in line for kebab, but it was worth it.”

The festival will end at 22:00.
