The 2025-2029 Strategic Plan, which will determine the goals of Manisa Metropolitan Municipality for the next five years, has received approval from all commissions within the municipality. The plan has been submitted to the council presidency to be discussed in the Metropolitan Municipality Council meeting scheduled for November.
The 2025-2029 Strategic Plan, prepared by the Strategy Development Department of Manisa Metropolitan Municipality, has been completed. In this context, the members of the Metropolitan Municipality Council were informed about the strategic plan that will outline the municipality’s mission and vision during a meeting held at the cultural center. The preparation process of the plan was shaped through the active participation of Manisa residents. In a total of 8 workshops organized under the name ‘Urban Meetings’, 311 participants from different age and professional groups in Manisa came together. Ideas were exchanged on various topics in meetings focusing on local equality, youth, senior citizens, people with disabilities, tradesmen, and public health. Additionally, opinions were gathered from stakeholders such as various public institutions, non-governmental organizations, and local tradesmen’s chambers.
In the preparation of the plan, 12 different survey studies were conducted for internal and external stakeholders. Through these surveys, the opinions of 3,112 individuals were collected, and the municipality’s future roadmap was designed based on the results of these widely participated surveys.
Three internal training sessions were organized for the Strategic Planning Team and Expenditure Unit Managers. With these trainings, a total of 130 employees were made aware of the implementation of the plan and the determination of strategic goals. The trainings contributed to clarifying the municipality’s mission, vision, values, and strategic objectives.
The Strategic Plan, which has received the approval of all commissions, will be discussed in the Metropolitan Municipality Council in November. The plan will determine Manisa’s local government goals, guide the municipality’s future activities, and ensure significant steps are taken for the city.
