The “Medical Device Technology Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School,” unique in Turkey, meets the qualified personnel needs of the surgical instrument sector. Every student graduating from the school can find a job in the surgical instrument sector.

Opened in 2018 as a project school in response to the demands of companies producing surgical hand tools in Samsun, the Medical Device Technology Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School continues to be the only one of its kind. The school trains qualified personnel for companies operating in Samsun, which ranks third in the world and first in Turkey in medical device production. With a capacity of 300 students and an annual graduation of 70 students, the school provides education on CNC machines, computers, and equipment, teaching students to produce surgical instruments that will be used in clinics or operating rooms. Graduates from the school can easily find jobs in the surgical hand tool sector.

School Principal Fatih Aydın stated that, within the framework of a protocol made with the Medical Industry Innovation Association (MEDİKÜM), they can guarantee employment for all graduates. Aydın expressed that the students graduating from the school have learned drawing programs like Solidworks and Autocad, enabling them to work in any firm engaged in project development. He added, “The interest in our school, which is unique in Turkey, is increasing every year. Starting from next year, our dormitory will be operational. We believe that by enabling students from all over Turkey to come here, the numerical capacity of our school will increase.”

Student Murat Köse said, “I chose this school because my job is guaranteed upon graduation. We learn subjects like turning and mold manufacturing here. We are learning to produce medical device materials. I recommend other students to come here. We have job guarantees.”
Student Büşra Nur Kabalı stated, “I chose this school to have a profession in the future. We learn to produce devices used in hospitals at our school. I have many job opportunities in the industry after graduation. I feel very lucky to have come to this school.”
