Special meeting for the Day of the Mukhtar in Nilüfer

On the occasion of Muhtarlar Day, Nilüfer Mayor Şadi Özdemir met with the muhtars and stated, “Our effort is to create a more beautiful Nilüfer. We will solve the problems of every neighborhood by reducing them.”

Nilüfer Mayor Şadi Özdemir came together with neighborhood muhtars on October 19 for Muhtarlar Day. The meeting, held at Nilbel Social Facilities, was attended by CHP Nilüfer District Chairman Özgür Çelik, Deputy Mayor of the Metropolitan Municipality Mehmet Aydın Saldız, Nilüfer Municipal Council Members, Nilbel A.Ş. Board Chairman İbrahim Mart, NİLKOOP President Süleyman Ayyılmaz, and the municipal deputy mayors.

In his speech at the event, Mayor Şadi Özdemir described muhtars as the heroes of democracy. Emphasizing that they are working for a more beautiful Nilüfer, Mayor Şadi Özdemir said, “We should always be open to everyone’s ideas. We said we should manage this city together. We said we would manage it with common sense. We are keeping our promise. We will solve the problems of every neighborhood by reducing them through participatory democracy and joint management.”

Highlighting that they make investments in neighborhoods with priority on urgency in an equal and fair manner, Mayor Şadi Özdemir said to the muhtars, “Our intention is to work this way all the time. Our door is open. We are waiting for your suggestions. On this occasion, I wish all our muhtars a happy Muhtarlar Day.”

Erol Yılmazer, President of the Bursa Muhtarlar Association, emphasized that every day is Muhtarlar Day in Nilüfer, stating, “We are lucky in this regard. Our muhtars, standing tall without being stubborn, easily knock on the doors of all institutions for service production. Our concern is Nilüfer.”

Recep Bayraktar, President of the Nilüfer Muhtarlar Association, stated that they are the voice of the neighborhoods and serve as a bridge between citizens and local governments.
