Trade Minister Ömer Bolat stated, “With the declaration we signed at the 13th Meeting of the Ministers Responsible for Trade and Economy of the Turkic States Organization (TDT), we have taken steps to strengthen the contractual infrastructure among member countries.”

Trade Minister Ömer Bolat attended the 13th Meeting of the Ministers Responsible for Trade and Economy of the Turkic States Organization (TDT) held in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan. Minister Bolat met with Kyrgyzstan’s Minister of Economy and Trade Daniyar Amangeldiev, who hosted the meeting on the sidelines of the TDT 13th Meeting of Ministers Responsible for Trade and Economy.

In a statement on his social media account regarding the meeting, Bolat said, “With the declaration we signed at the 13th Meeting of the Ministers Responsible for Trade and Economy of the TDT, we have taken steps to strengthen the contractual infrastructure among member countries. In this context, we recorded that we have completed negotiations on the Digital Economy Partnership Agreement (DEPA), will continue to work on the Trade in Services and Investment Agreement, and accelerate the work on the Action Plan of the Trade Facilitation Committee and the establishment of the Turkish Green Finance Council. By implementing the decisions we have made, we will add strength to our power.”

“Our goal is to increase our bilateral trade volume and mutual investments”

Bolat also emphasized that Turkey places great importance on developing political, economic, and commercial relations with Kyrgyzstan, one of the largest investor countries. He stated, “In this context, our top priority is to increase our bilateral trade volume and mutual investments and to diversify our areas of cooperation. While I hope our meeting in Bishkek will be beneficial, I believe that together with our brother country Kyrgyzstan, which will take over the presidency of the Turkic States Organization, we can further strengthen the structure of our organization.”
