Entrepreneurship training was conducted for vocational high school students in Sinop.

In Sinop, the Provincial Directorate of National Education coordinated and in collaboration with the Provincial Directorate of Commerce, entrepreneurship training was organized for 12th-grade students studying in vocational and technical secondary education institutions. The program, held at the Şehit Şakir Elkovan Public Education Center and attended by a large number of participants, began with a moment of silence and the National Anthem. As part of the training, students were provided with important information on topics such as “tax and registry, social security procedures, treasury-supported loans, and KOSGEB supports.”

In his speech at the program, Sinop Deputy Governor Ali Osman Bulat stated that the concept of entrepreneurship can be perceived differently by everyone according to their own situation. Emphasizing that entrepreneurship is not solely based on large investments, Bulat said, “Entrepreneurship is a concept that everyone perceives differently according to their own situation in Turkey and the world. When we think of entrepreneurship, what comes to mind? We can immediately perceive it as something requiring high investments in innovation and technology. My understanding of entrepreneurship is this; producing meat and milk by purchasing three animals is also entrepreneurship. Obtaining a new invention and making very high investments is also entrepreneurship. What is the difference here? Everyone is undertaking an initiative according to their capacity and geography. What is important here is to use your own capacity.”

Sinop Provincial Director of National Education Osman Cebeci emphasized the importance of such training to raise the entrepreneurs of the future, stating, “Today we have come together to raise the entrepreneurs of the future and to provide the necessary knowledge and skills for our youth to advance steadily in the business world. This program, organized with the support of our Ministry of Commerce and the Provincial Directorate of Commerce, offers an important educational opportunity on the path of entrepreneurship. Our Provincial Directorate of Commerce will guide you young people on essential topics you need to know in entrepreneurship, such as tax and registry, social security procedures, treasury-supported loans, and KOSGEB supports, with our valuable educators. These trainings will guide our students, who plan to enter business life and have the potential to become tradesmen and artisans, and equip them with the knowledge and skills they will need when establishing their own businesses,” he said.

After the speeches, experts in their fields made various presentations to the students. SME Specialist Mustafa Bayrak provided information about treasury and KOSGEB supports, while Income Specialist Şükrü Yılmaz addressed tax and registry issues. Social Security Inspector Samet Özdemir presented information about social security procedures, and Provincial Director of Commerce Yavuz Selim Aykan gave a presentation on credit supports.
