The meeting, held in the Provincial Police Department Meeting Hall, was attended by Deputy Governor Erhan Günay, district governors, mayors, and representatives of public institutions and organizations. In his opening speech, Governor Vahdettin Özkan stated that they would evaluate the investment programs, saying, “We have a total of 469 public investment projects in Manisa, amounting to 43 billion 797 million TL. Of these, 318 belong to the central administration and our ministries, while 151 belong to our municipalities. In previous years, 6 billion 397 million TL was spent on these projects, and for the year 2024, a total of 10 billion 657 million TL has been allocated to these projects. As of the end of the third period, 6 billion 728 million TL of the allocated budget has been spent, resulting in a spending rate of 63%. Out of our projects, 154 are completed. We have 224 ongoing projects, all of which are expected to be completed within the year. There are also 18 projects that are at the tender stage.”
Governor Özkan also mentioned that there are 68 projects that have not started due to legal issues such as land acquisition, and 5 projects that have been liquidated, stressing the need to evaluate what can be done to keep this number at a minimum level.
Governor Özkan stated that the district mayors, district governors, and representatives of public institutions and organizations would provide information to the participants regarding their work, and that they would focus on situations requiring coordination with other institutions, evaluate them, and closely monitor the ongoing efforts.
The meeting concluded with information about ongoing investments throughout the province, the collection of requests from districts and institutions, and the evaluation of issues requiring coordination.
